Credit Limits

The credit limits are set by USHE, Utah State Higher Education and are the same for all concurrent enrollment students.

  • 30 credits per school year (Fall-Spring) This includes credits from all colleges as well as concurrent enrollment credit, early enrollment credit, online, etc.  Students will be required to drop classes if they exceed the limit.
  • 15 credits per semester  This is considered “full-time” and we encourage students not to exceed this amount. If a student wishes to take more than 15 credits per semester they need to meet with their SLCC college advisor.  Even after meeting with their SLCC advisor, students may not take more than 18 credits per semester.

Note:  Classes taken during the summer, as Early Enrollment, are not counted in the 30 credits per school year limit.
